About this Website

This site is created to put neurotypical people in the shoes of a neurodiverse person. This was done because there is no better way to understand someone than to be in their shoes. "How will I be in a neurodiverse person's shoes?" you might ask. Well... each page is designed to represent the diagnosis, especially in its title. For example, the ADHD page has the title swinging because the brain is like an engine for someone with ADHD, and they could also be hyperactive, so the section is designed like that. The same thing goes to the Dyslexia and Autism sections, but for Dyslexia, it is spelled wrong on purpose, and the letters appear late because dyslexia deals with reading and not being able to acknowledge the word right away, even if you know it. And for Autism, there is a blur effect because people with Autism miss a social cue, which can feel like a blur to them, especially when trying to adjust to the "norm".

A big shout-out to Matt Cannon, Jono Brandel, and Rachel Smith from CodePen, who designed the coded elements used in the ADHD, Dyslexia, and Autism pages!

Mission

The mission of this site is to allow kids to do activities with their classmates by teaching their care takers how to control the environment with a neurodivergent kid. And this is done by promoting the acceptance and inclusion of neurodiverse individuals by sharing resources and fostering a supportive community!
